I didn't go to US for studies: Priya Anand..

Actress Priya Anand who debuted with 'Leader' was rumoured to have gone back to US for her studies. The actress however clarifies that she went to US for a month not for higher education but for the shoot of her next movie titled '180' starring Siddharth. Priya Anand is originally from America and her parents continue to live there. She moved to India three years ago to pursue her career in film industry. She also played the lead in 'Rama Rama Krishna Krishna' with Ram as the hero this year. Priya has a couple of Tamil movies too in her kitty. When she went to US for the shoot of '180' for a month, there were rumours that she quit acting and went back to college. She ridiculed them and said, 'I am very much in India and am doing films. I went to US for shooting and not to study. I am done with my higher education and have no intention of going back to college" she told IndiaGlitz.

Vimala Raman's next starts shoot in Jan!

Vimala Raman, Ajay starrer new movie will start shooting in January. Suryadevara Prabhakar, who worked as assistant director to Krishnavamsi will debut as director for this film. He is also producing the movie on Lata Universal banner. "This is a female oriented script. Audience in AP have always loved unconventional scripts and we are sure this movie will be well recieved. When Vimala heard the script, she liked it immensely and agreed to do it. It will have all commercial aspects like sentiment, comedy and thrill to make it an enjoyable film" Prabhakar said.

‘KSD Appalaraju’ likely to be put off by a week!

The controversial film of Ram Gopal Varma, ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appala Raju’ which is being made with satires on the Telugu film industry in general was supposed to hit the screens on January 12 as a Sankranti gift. However, the film shooting yet to be completed and hence the director may postpone the release of the film by another week or two. It is a surprise that the release dates of Ram Gopal Varma’s films in recent times are getting postponed due to some or other circumstances. His film ‘Rakta Charitra’ also faced a different situation and got postponed for twice or thrice. It is learnt that RGV needs 23 artistes at a time to shoot some scenes and it has become a tough task for him to secure the dates of all the artistes together. However, the producer of the film Kirankumar Koneru is of the firm opinion to release the film at least by January 19.

Sampat Nandi likely to direct Raviteja’s next!

After dishing a romantic film like ‘Emaindi Ee Vela’ with Varun Sandesh and Nisha Agarwal, produced by Radha Mohan, director Sampat Nandi got an opportunity to direct Raviteja. Though ‘Emaindi Ee Vela’ is a small budget film and failed to make a mark at the Box Office, the film won critical acclaim and said to have a good message in it to the youth. Balayya's gesture to ex-jawans..!

Actor Balakrishna is a truely inherits the patriotism of his dad N T Ramarao. The star gave financial aid  worth laksh of rupees to ex-service men at the audio launch of his upcoming film 'Paramaveera Chakra' in the city this week. The star will be seen playing the role of an army major in the film. He is seen in a dual role with Amisha Patel and Sheela playing lead roles.The movie is being directed by MP Dasari Narayana Rao and produced by C Kalyan. He invited ex-service men who lost their limbs, eye sight, fingers and paralysed in the war and gave them cheques. The onlookers were touched at the apathy of these jawans and the star himself was moist-eyed.Most of them had to be assisted by their relatives and couldn't even walk. Sainik welfare officials were overwhelmed at the actor's gesture. Balayya also was the chief guest at the Army celebrations held in Secunderabad recently. "Even if he did it for movie promotion, he still lent financial aid to the poor jawans. It is commendable" said a relative of the jawan.

ParamaVeeraChakra(2011) bags U/A from Censor Board

The prestigious 150th film of Darsaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao, ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ produced by C Kalyan on the banner of Teja Cinema with Balakrishna, Amisha Patel, Neha Dhupia and Sheela in the lead had completed its shooting, post-production works recently and the first copy was submitted to the Censor Board for certification. The Censor Board granted U/A certificate to the movie and the producer is making efforts to release the film on January 12. Manisharma scored music for the movie. The audio of the film was launched at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad on December 29 through Aditya Music, which is planning an aggressive marketing for the success of the audio. The plans include a WAP portal on all telecom operators. This would help the mobile users to download any of the songs as ringtones and caller tunes through SMS. They could even download the complete songs on their mobiles. Simply type PVS and send the message to 56060. An exclusive WAP portal was launched to promote the audio.

Nagarjuna, who bade a goodbye to 2011 with his near-hit ‘Ragada’, is getting ready for his next film under the direction of Srinivasa Reddy which would be produced by Venkat of RR Movie Makers. Nagarjuna once again is likely to pair up with Anushka. The latest buzz from the Film Nagar is that the film, with a working title of ‘Dhamarukam’ is most likely to start rolling from February 12 next year.

S S Rajamouli who scaled new heights with blockbuster 'Magadheera' last year found a fan in a superstar. Bollywood hit machine Aamir Khan supposedly watched 'Magadheera' and liked it. He is believed to have called up Rajamouli to appreciate his work. In return Rajamouli expressed his wish to meet Aamir Khan and Khan sahab immediately agreed. Whats more, Aamir has invited Rajamouli to his residence in Mumbai for breakfast. The director clarified that he is meeting Aamir as he likes the actor immensely. An elated Rajamouli tweeted, "I am in Mumbai and will have breakfast with him tomorrow. More than an actor, he is an awesome film maker. Sundeep Kishan in 7UP ad!

One of the most critically acclaimed actor of this year, Sundeep Kishan of 'Prasthanam' fame also joined the brand endorsment bandwagon. The newbie star has been roped in by 7UP drink for its ads to be screened in Tamilnadu. Sundeep, the nephew of cinematographers Chota K Naidu and Shyam K Naidu, is currently doing 'Shor' in Hindi starring Tushar Kapoor and Senthil Ramamurthy. Since Sundeep is well versed in Tamil and is a Chennai brought up, he is believed to have been signed up for the ad shoot.The actor is on cloud nine for being roped in for the ad so early in his career, "It feels great to sign up for a brand I grew up drinking" Sundeep says.

Surya in 3 Idiots Remake!

We all know that Prince Mahesh and Tamil hero Vijay were out of 3 Idiots remake project, so director Shankar is looking for the new hero for the remake of Bollywood's hit film "3 Idiots" in Telugu and Tamil languages.

 

Now the latest news is that Shankar is trying to rope Tamil hero Surya for Amir khan role in both the versions, on the other hand he is also considering Ajith Kumar for this role. As per the sources Surya is also showing interest on this project, so Surya may confirm for this role.

Prabhas’s Rebel starts from Jan 2nd

 

Young Rebel star Prabhas’s new film titled "Rebel" shooting will starts from January 2nd it seems. In this film buxom beauty Anushka is pairing with Prabhas. Earlier the duo worked for Billa movie.
