Sakthi movie review

It is:A shame and brain less, crude, loud and over done compilation of all the major box office hits from the past few years.

Plot

Indians dressed as Egyptians in cheap clichés want to destroy India for strange untold reasons in this latest Meher fantasy. For which they need a magic stone and a magic sword. Battles were fought in the past over these badly designed objects (the sword in particular bears a great resemblance to one of those things a 5 year old would crave for in the local fair, IT WAS PLAIN AND CLEAR PLASTIC).

Rudra (the NTR with the desperate wig) had fought the actual battle 27 years ago and his son who was born on the field of battle (brilliant writing, totally original and brilliant) avenges his father’s death after he realizes that his current parents found him on a plank of wood in the river (listen carefully, not even one of those basket boats, a plain plank of wood and the just born should have had great balance to survive the length of the river).

And the son and the father put together have killed about two three hundred people may be, in their respective decades, what’s the whole point of being a hero if you hadn’t killed at least a hundred right.

What created the buzz?

As evidently brainless as the first half might seem, it did have an endurable tempo. And the little Pokiri twist at the end of the first half and the way it was presented did have a hysterical impact on the crowds. The theater full of people was on its feet, every single one of them.

What sinks you into the chair?

You get bored in a film and one thing I’ve always done and seen is sinking into the chair. This sort of blocks your view of the screen and you do it just for that. This is when the things on screen go from boring to repelling.

Fights were innumerable and they tend to go on forever. We’ve now passed the age of dodging bullets; we’ve entered the ‘dodge the rocket launcher’ era.

Actors

NTR is someone who never seems out of place on a silver screen but he needs to work with far better scripts to have the complete impact of his raw talent. In this film, he has nothing new to offer.

It was a high budget, grand, that, this Telugu film and hence there were plenty of other actors who were given their usual desk jobs and they are so very good at it.

Nassar is one who’s away from his desk this time, and he does well.

Verdict

Ever bought one of those re-mix discs which ruin the good songs with terrible club mixes and presented as Hot Remixes, Most Wanted Remixes etc with a picture of an upcoming item girl for the cover.

This film is precisely THAT disc.

Leaked Story:

The name of NTR in this movie is Shakti. He works as security officer in National Security Force. He will be appointed as Security Guard to Ileyana. Tamil actor Prabhu is head of this National Security Force. Ileyana is his daughter. Ileyana is good devotee and she likes to visit all temples in India. Due to security problem her father Prabhu will not give her permission to visit temples. But Ileyana wont agrees with her father’s word and finally decides to visit temples across India. Finally, Prabhu agrees with Ileyana and asks Jr NTR to go with her as security.

NTR and Ileyana faces lot of problems in their journey. Unknown people attacks on them and tries to kill them. Jr NTR fights with them and saves Ileyana. But again some unknown people attacks on them. But now NTR understands that they are not attacking Ileyana, but they are targeting him. Then comes to interval.

Flash back comes after Interval. Jr NTR will be seen as Rudra in flash back. Rudra was king of a kingdom where lies some powerful Shakthi Peetam. Rudra protects these Shakthi Peetam from villians. But, gangsters tries to steal them and wants to become powerful persons in the world. Finally, Rudra dies in this war.

Later, Shakthi who belongs to same family decides to save Shakthi Peetam from Villians. How he fights and save it from Villains is rest of the story.

Jr NTR is supposed to appear in 4 different getup’s in this movie. He will be seen as Security officer, Shakthi get up, Rudra Get up and as a King.

India’s Victory troubles Jr NTR’s Shakti!

Whole India is celebrating the Team India’s victory against Pakistan team and entered into the World Cup 2011 finals. In finals Team India will meet Sri Lanka at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Saturday (April 2nd). Now the news is that Team India’s victory makes trouble to the Jr NTR’s Shakti movie producers.

Jr NTR’s Shakti movie is all set to hit the screens on April 1st, 2011 and the final match between India and Srilanka is on April 2nd, which is the next day of Shakti of the release of Shakti. So the movie collections will go down on that day because most of the people will be sitting in front of the small screens to watch the Cricket match Live. So Shakti movie is going to lose second day collections, mean while if the movie gets negative talk many of them will not prefer to watch the movie after that.

Jr.NTR's Shakti Made in 18 Months!

Young Tiger Jr.NTR and Sexy Siren Ileana starrer Shakti is gearing up for its release on 1st April. It is known that Shakti has created a new record of being shot in highest number of places such as Egypt, Ladakh, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Jaiper etc. Now, the producer of the film Ashwini Dutt has revealed that the total time period involved in filming of Shakti including its pre-production activities was 18 months.

“I have been in film industry for over 36 years now and Shakti is the first ever movie in my career shot for 13 long months. Approximately 300 technicians worked for the film. Jr.NTR will remind you of the Sr. N.T.Rama Rao in many scenes in the film and Meher Ramesh will receive loads of praises with this film,” says the producer Ashwini Dutt.

Jr NTR’s Shakti Business

Young tiger Jr NTR and Ileana’s upcoming film "Shakthi" has recently got the ’A’ certificate and the movie is getting ready to hit the screens on April1st, 2011.Now the movie is getting near for its release, so the movie getting hype from the Trade Sources.

The movie has already made a huge business in Nizam and Ceded regions; there the movie distribution rights were sold for a whopping sum of Rs. 10 Crores. Now the latest news is that Shakti distribution rights for the District of Gunutr were sold for a whopping Rs. 4 Crores it seems. So far no film has made such a huge business in Guntur.

But on the other hand we also hearing the news that in some of the areas the movie making the poor business due to the producer Aswini Dutt’s earlier movies were failed at box office, lack of confidence on Meher Ramesh and also with the high range of prices.

Shakti is a high budget film so far in Tollywood film industry, this socio-fantasy entertainer film made with 45 crores budget. It is being directed by Mehar Ramesh and produced by C.Aswini Dutt under Yjayanthi movies banner. Music has scored by Mani Sharma.

Jr NTR’s Shakti got "A" Certificate!

Young Tiger Jr NTR and Ileana starrer ‘Shakti’ movie has gone through the Censor certification on Yesterday and the movie was awarded with "A" certificate from the censor board with almost no cuts. The movie release date has been postponed; earlier the movie was scheduled to release on March 30^th, now the Shakti release date has been postponed to April 1st.

The reason for postponement of the movie is the cricket match between India Vs Pakistan (Semi Final) match on that day (March 30th).

Earlier we also heard that the movie is releasing in both Tamil and Telugu versions on the same day, now the Tamil version "Om Shakti" will release a day later i.e. on April 2.
