Mahesh-Mani Ratnam’s Film Titled "Veerudu"

We all know that Mahesh Babu has a signed a new film under the direction of sensational director Mani Ratnam. It is a multi starrer film, which will be made in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film has titled "Ponniyin Selvan" in Tamil. Now the latest news is that the movie has titled as "veerudu" for Telugu version.

In this film Tamil heroes Vijay and Arya are also sharing the screen space with Mahesh. Anushka has been roped for the female lead role opposite to Vijay for this film and the heroines are not yet confirmed for Mahesh Babu and Arya. Anushka is playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s younger sister.

In this film Mahesh will be seen in the role of King Uththama Cholan.Director Mani Ratnam looking for the Bollywood heroines opposite to Mahesh.

The film is based on Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan that deals with the life and times of Raja Raja Chola. This project will be produced by Kalanidhi Maran of Sun Pictures and Music will be composed by Ilayaraja.

Presently Mani Ratnam is busy with the scouting the locales for this film. This is going to hit the floors in the month of June it seems.
