Age limit: The applicants age limit is above 21 years but below 40 years for the post of Officer Scale III, above 21 years but below 32 years for the post of Officer Scale II, above 18 years but below 28 years for the post of Officer Scale I, between 18 years and 28 years for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) as on 01-04-2011, relaxation as per rules.

Application fee: Applicants pay the fee for Rs 400/- for GEN-OBC candidates and Rs 100/- for SC-ST-PC-EXS candidates in the form of challan available at Banks website and paid the fee any branch of either Purvanchal Gramin Bank or State Bank of India from 01-06-2011 to 25-06-2011.
Selection process: The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview.
How to apply: The eligible and interested applicants have to apply through online from the www.pgbgorakhpur.com website between 01-06-2011 to 25-06-2011. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. At the time of online apply applicants follow the user guideline and instructions.

1. Applicants have to apply through online from the website www.pgbgorakhpur.com website between 01-06-2011 to 25-06-2011.
2. Before apply online, applicants first download the fee payment challan from the banks website and pay the fee any branch of either Purvanchal Gramin Bank or State Bank of India from 01-06-2011 to 25-06-2011.
3. Applicants must ensure that on deposit of the fee, the branch issues him a receipt which should invariably mention the Journal Number, Branch Name, Branch Code Number, Date of Deposit and Signature & Seal of the receiving Officer.
4. Applicants should have a valid e-mail ID, because this will help in getting call letter and interview details etc, before applying online.
5. After payment the fees the applicants should visit the Banks website again and fill up the application form.
6. Branch Code and Transaction Number noted on the challan should be correctly filled in the application at appropriate place.
7. After filling up all the mandatory fields and security check box, the applicants should submit their application by clicking on the submit button.
8. Applicants should be filled all mandatory fields, other wise the system will not be accept the application.
9. The applicants should note/remember the registration number and password for future reference and use.
10. After successfully submission of online application, applicants should keep two copies of the application print out and one copy of the print out with the recent photograph of the applicants duly pasted thereon will have to be submitted at the time of interview.
11. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the challan and should be signed across by the applicants at the same time five copies of the same photograph should retained for use at the time of written examination and interview.
12. Applicants will not be permitted to appear at the written examination with out production of this challan and photograph.
